Barossa U14 YCC 4–3 Angle Vale
Barossa claimed an important victory in a hard-fought arm wrestle against Angle Vale, with both sides producing an entertaining
contest from start to finish.
Barossa opened the scoring through Ethan Precious before the Foxes responded with two quick goals to take the lead. Continuing to
apply pressure, Barossa found an equaliser through Lochlan Walker before an unfortunate own goal saw Angle Vale regain the
advantage and head into halftime leading 3–2.
The second half continued in much the same fashion, with both teams creating chances in an end-to-end battle. Angle Vale found
another equaliser, setting up a tense finish as both sides searched for the winner.
A spectacular save from Mylo Merrett kept Barossa in the contest before Filippo Carboni stepped up to deliver the decisive moment. His
free kick caught both the defence and goalkeeper off guard, finding the back of the net to secure a memorable victory for Barossa.
A great game by the lads and a well-earned result for BUFC.
