Barossa Under 6s put together another outstanding team performance against Eastern United, continuing the fantastic form they have
shown throughout the season.
From the opening whistle, the team played with confidence, showing some of their best passing, ball movement, and teamwork of the
year. It was fantastic to see the skills they have been practising at training come together on game day, with every player contributing
in attack and defence.
Alaric Neylon got Barossa off to a great start, opening the scoring and working hard in attack throughout the game. His pace and
confidence on the ball created plenty of opportunities for the team.
Hamish Kelly was outstanding in attack, weaving his way through defenders with excellent dribbling before finding the back of the net.
His composure and control on the ball continue to improve every week.
Colby Sauer enjoyed another strong performance, carrying the ball forward with confidence, creating plenty of attacking opportunities,
and finding the back of the net after working hard all game.
Lily A worked tirelessly from start to finish, producing several powerful kicks that helped move Barossa from defence into attack. She
also came incredibly close to scoring after a well-worked team move and showed great determination to win the ball back with some
excellent tackles.
Lenny McKenzie put together another determined performance, making some excellent tackles to win the ball back before driving
forward to create attacking opportunities whenever the chance arose.
Finley Martin had another excellent game, making several strong tackles, working hard to win possession, and making positive runs
with the ball to help Barossa transition into attack.
It was another complete team performance from the young Barossa side, with every player supporting one another, sharing the ball,
and playing with confidence from start to finish. The continued improvement this group has shown throughout the season has been
fantastic to watch, and they continue to develop into a well-organised, exciting team each week.
