Barossa United Under 8 travelled to Para Hills on Sunday to battle the Knights. Last time the two teams met it was a tough and fierce
match with a close finish. Expecting the same challenge, Barossa came out fighting.
Archie Bussenschutt held the defence in goals for the first half and, in trademark fashion, nothing got past him, with the teams heading
to the break scoreless.
Ashton Galaboff took the reins in goals for the second half and dominated the box well. Persistent offensive pressure with multiple shots
from each forward player was finally rewarded when Grayson Honner managed to slot one past the keeper.
Barossa’s defence was impenetrable, with impeccable performances from Tom Walsh and Sully King, who both received this week’s
Team Values Awards.
Every single player gave their all, producing one of the year’s greatest team efforts. Couldn’t be prouder of this young side.
