The Barossa Under 9 Green team took on the Under 9 Blue team in a great local clash at Barossa, with both sides showing excellent
teamwork and determination. It was a close and exciting battle between the two Barossa teams, with plenty of strong defence, passing and attacking play throughout the game.
Bailey Grimwade led the Green team well as captain and also spent time in goals, making some great saves. Myles Waples impressed in goal with quick reactions, denying several scoring opportunities.
Liam Parobiec worked hard in defence, making important tackles and smart passes out of the back. Tom Semmler showed great energy, running hard all game and contributing in both attack and defence.
Koa Lang displayed skilful dribbling and helped move the ball forward, while Sid Brassil put in a strong defensive performance
and created opportunities for the attackers. Angus Salter was tough in challenges and battled hard for possession throughout the game.
Lelani Semmler showed creative playmaking, setting up several attacking chances for the team.
Malakai Semmler supported from the sidelines after breaking his toes, continuing to cheer on his teammates throughout the match.
The coach was proud of the team’s efforts in what was a fantastic and closely contested game.
