Barossa Under 9 Green played Campbelltown at home in a fantastic game that was exciting to watch from start to finish. With no
substitutes available, the players had to run hard for the entire game without any rest, making their effort and determination even
more impressive.
Malakai Semmler led the team proudly as captain, playing striker and scoring an incredible goal from halfway!!!!!
Mackenzie Meadley produced some massive clearances in defence and made an amazing penalty save during his first time playing in
goals.
Lelani Semmler scored a great goal and was once again outstanding in defence. Myles Waples saved what felt like a million shots in the
first half before pulling off a brilliant bicycle kick clearance in the second half to prevent another goal.
Liam Parobiec was weaving his magic as always, creating opportunities and working hard across the field, and capped off his
performance by scoring a great goal. Tom Semmler provided some excellent assists, showed great attacking play, and continually found
himself in the right positions. Angas Salter worked tirelessly throughout the match, showing great determination and supporting his
teammates whenever needed.
With Coach Shane away, Tate Waples stepped in as acting coach and did a fantastic job. He positioned the team well, kept everyone
encouraged, and helped guide the players through a terrific team performance.
It was a fantastic game to watch, with all the players showing great effort, teamwork, and determination. One of the best parts of
watching this team is seeing how they congratulate each other whenever they score a goal—it’s so lovely to watch and really highlights
the wonderful team spirit they have.
