Barossa United U9 Blue vs Gawler Eagles
Barossa took on Gawler eagles on a clear sunny day. Barossa started well and continued to play their positive football.
But Gawler Eagles were well structured and also played decent football. An evenly contested game ensued. A break through from a
throw on, allowed Gawler Eagles to open the score. Barossa kept their nerve and never gave up trying to score.
Barossa fought back and had a number of chances from Patrick Kelly, Archie Liddy and Otto Krzoska. Until the break through arrived
with Carson Dahlitz scoring from outside the penalty box. His goal celebration was the highlight of the game.

The second half arrived with both teams evenly matched. Then Gawler had a free kick awarded inside the Barossa half. A long pass into
the box was guided into the goal past the valiant goalkeeper James Crowder.
Once again Barossa continued to defend well and play with determination. With the game nearing its conclusion Barossa were
awarded a corner. A driven cross by Carson Dahlitz was deflected into the Gawler goal by a Gawler defender. The game ended with both
teams showing great teamwork and tenacity. A great game to watch.
