Barossa United Under 6 MiniRoos played their first home game against Modbury Jets Blue.
It was a fantastic team performance, with great passing, strong effort and plenty of confidence shown across the field. The players worked well together throughout the game, supporting each other and continuing to build on what they have been learning at training.
Finley Martin showed great defensive effort, consistently working hard to stop the opposition and then turning play around with strong runs down the line to move the ball forward. Lily A also made a strong impact, showing excellent teamwork and composure when restarting play, with well-placed kicks in that created opportunities for her teammates. Finley and Lily were both recognised with awards for their efforts, highlighting their defensive work, teamwork and contribution to the game.
There were some excellent goals scored, but most importantly it was great to see the enjoyment, teamwork and growing confidence from all players. A really positive step forward for the group.
