UNDER 8 BLUE
Our Barossa United FC Under 8’s Blue team kicked off the season with a strong game against Salisbury United Football Club. They showed fantastic tenacity, strong defending and skills when attacking. We’re incredibly proud of this team and their efforts. This was their first game together as a team, and they smashed it. They held their ground when the opposition got rough, and they never gave up. With the potential on show today, I am beyond excited to see what the rest of the season holds for this firecracker of a team. (See post-game photo)
UNDER 9 SKY
On Sunday, the Barossa United FC Under 9’s Sky team took on the @ModburyJets White team. In the first game of the season and the first game for many of the players on the team, the boys got into the swing of the game quickly. The Jets scored an early goal in the first half, with Christian scoring an equaliser for Barossa United early in the second half. The team fought hard, defended well, and all put in a great effort. Each of our team members contributed to this exciting match and put in a huge amount of effort. Well done, all, off to a great start for the season!
UNDER 11 GREEN
An amazing effort and start to the Miniroos season for the Barossa United FC U11’s Green team, who played Elizabeth Grove with a season-opening game at home! Down to just 8 players for the season start, a BIG shoutout and thank you to a few of the U10 Blue players (and their parents and Coach Shaun) who helped the game happen. An awesome team effort, positive attitudes, lots of on-pitch talking and most importantly, fun – we are looking forward to seeing what the season will bring. Well done again, boys!!
