Friday Night Football: Grit, Goals & Guts!
The Barossa United U12 White team braved torrential rain and a slick artificial pitch to take on a tough Eastern United side in Athelstone — and what a game it was!
Goals from Izaak and Edward had us leading 2–1 at halftime, thanks to some brilliant team play, fierce pressing, and non-stop hustle. Braxton was a wall in goals, Arno delivered rocket throw-ins, and the whole backline held strong under pressure.
The second half saw reshuffles, sliding tackles, and serious heart from every player. Harley and Seth bossed the midfield, Alex stepped up again from the U10s, and Jude added calm to the backline — but the conditions and opposition pressure saw Eastern snatch a 3–2 win.
It wasn’t the result we hoped for, but the fight, spirit, and teamwork?
Term 3 is off and running — bring on the next match, rain, hail or shine!
