Salisbury vs Barossa U-9 blue
Barossa played an away game against Salisbury in an entertaining game. Salisbury started pressing the Barossa goal with a number of
chances but Abel Commane deputizing in goal kept a clean sheet until our number one keeper james crowder came on later in the
game. After the Salisbury chances, Barossa dominated the game and had numerous chances to score. Patrick Kelly, Archie liddy, Carson
Dahlitz, Abel Commane and Benjamin Clay all had shots on goal only for the Salisbury keeper to keep the score goalless. Barossa
passing & teamwork was the highlight of the first half.
But Salisbury managed to score first from a corner kick but it didn’t deter Barossa from playing entertaining football.
With a goal down, Barossa continued to create numerous chances in the second half. But Salisbury on the counter managed to score
again. Barossa never gave up hope and eventually scored through Carson Dahlitz from a long range effort. It lifted Barossa confidence.
With the team motivated another goal soon followed. A long range clearance from Abel Commane reached the goalkeeper. But the
keeper was unable to control the ball and was intercepted by Sonny West he scored from short range to level the game. The game was
evenly contested and Salisbury then got another goal from a counterattack.
Barossa had to find another equalizer. This time around Carson Dahlitz shot prove to be too strong for the goalkeeper to handle and scored a well deserved equalizer. The game ended and without major incidents. A good entertaining game from both sides. One more game at home until the season ends for this remarkable team.
