Girls Secure Hard-Earned 3–2 Victory
It was a flying start for the girls, with Jemima Teague finding the net inside the opening 10 minutes to put her side in front.
Salisbury Inter responded within five minutes, levelling the scores after an unfortunate slip by the goalkeeper on the grass pitch. The
girls quickly regained their composure, and a superb through ball from Molly Rich picked out Lucy Amos, who fired a brilliant finish
into the top corner to restore the lead at 2–1.
Lucy struck again after the break, calmly beating the keeper to extend the advantage to 3–1.
Liliana Catanzariti gave everything throughout the match, providing a rock-solid presence in midfield, while Jana Tscharke pushed
forward from defence to help maintain the pressure in attack. Both delivered outstanding performances.
Salisbury Inter grabbed a late goal in the final minute, but it proved too little, too late as the Barossa girls held on for a hard-earned 3–
2 victory.
It was a terrific team effort, with every player battling for possession, working tirelessly and showing determination right through to
the final whistle.
