Barossa United U14 Girls put on a fantastic performance on the weekend, coming away with a strong 7–1 win against West Adelaide.
Barossa started the game confidently and quickly took control. Lucy Amos opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, giving Barossa an
early 1–0 lead.
Ava Knowles then doubled the lead in the 12th minute, scoring her first goal of the season! Lucy found the back of the
net again in the 26th minute to make it 3–0. Barossa continued to apply pressure, with Molly Rich scoring twice in quick succession in
the 30th and 34th minutes. Emme Mowbray then added another goal just a minute later using a penalty shot, putting Barossa 6–0 up
heading into half time.
As the second half started, West Adelaide managed to get on the scoreboard in the 38th minute, making it 6–1. Barossa kept working
hard and continued to create opportunities. Lucy finished off a great individual performance by scoring her third goal of the match in
the 62nd minute.
The final score was West Adelaide 1 – 7 Barossa United.
It was a great team performance from the girls, showing strong attacking football, determination and plenty of teamwork throughout
the match. A well-deserved win for Barossa United!
