What an outstanding performance from our Under 9s green team who played Salisbury United at PSD Energy Park coming away with a fantastic win! Despite the wet and rainy conditions, and despite having no subs the team never stopped working hard and played some excellent soccer from start to finish.
By the final whistle, everyone was absolutely soaked, but it didn’t stop the smiles or the effort. Lelani Semmler did an amazing job as captain. She led by example always having a positive attitude. She stopped more plays than anyone else on the field and was outstanding in defence. Time and time again she shut down their best attacker, and it was seriously impressive to watch. She should be incredibly proud of her game.
Malakai Semmler was on fire, scoring a brilliant hat-trick with some powerful strikes that gave the opposition goalkeeper no chance.
Myles Waples also scored an outstanding hat-trick and was excellent when he stepped into goals, making important saves and showing
great confidence as always.
Tom Semmler worked hard all game and was rewarded with a well-deserved and very stylish goal while also putting in a strong all-
round performance.
Bailey Grimwade was reliable in goals . Hes always ready for the ball and had some great saves and also worked hard in midfield,
helping the team win the ball and keep the attack going.
Liam Parobiec never stopped working, chased every ball, supported his teammates, and showed fantastic determination throughout
the game.
Sid Brassil was a constant threat up front, making smart runs, applying pressure to the defence, and creating plenty of attacking
opportunities with his hard work as a forward. He always has such a positive attitude.
The rain definitely made for a memorable day.
