Under 9 Girls Vs Grange Soccer Club
On a wintery morning the Barossa Under 9 girls headed to Grange to take on the Grange Soccer Club for Round 15.
The expected down pour of rain thankfully held off until the final minutes of the match.
The game was played with great sportsmanship and plenty of attacking football by both sides.
Barossa girls in the first half made a number of attacking runs down the wing but were unable to put a final cross to our Striker to
trouble the Grange Goalkeeper.
It was Grange who struck first with a powerful strike of the ball which put the home team up at the long break.
The second half was a spirited 20 minutes by the Barossa girls. So many attacking plays troubled the Grange defence and goalkeeper.
The girls deserved a goal or two from all their efforts but it wasn’t to be.
For Grange they also played great attacking football in the second half and capitalised with their passages of play finding the back of
the net again.
The girls focused on team energy today with great plays and effort being recognised by high fives, pats on the back and loud cheers for
each other.
Another road trip takes the girls to O’Sullivan Beach next Sunday to take on South Adelaide Soccer Club.
