Barossa Show Huge Improvement Against Northern Demons
Barossa hosted Northern Demons at home this week and produced one of their most determined performances of the season. The first
time these two sides met, Northern Demons proved too strong, but the improvement shown by Barossa since then was clear for
everyone to see.
The team worked tirelessly from the opening whistle and matched the opposition’s intensity throughout the first half, heading into the
break with the scores locked at 0–0. Every player played their role, defended strongly, and continued to fight for every ball.
With only 11 players available, Barossa faced a tough challenge in the second half but continued to battle hard. Northern Demons
eventually found the back of the net twice, however the scoreline did not reflect the effort, determination, and resilience shown by the
Barossa players throughout the match.
A special mention goes to Under 13 players Edward Purnell and Joel Fitzpatrick, who stepped up to help the side and played the entire
game. Both boys worked incredibly hard and made valuable contributions across the park.
While the result didn’t go Barossa’s way, the improvement from the first meeting between these teams was enormous and is a credit to
the hard work the players have been putting in throughout the season.
