Barossa United 5 – Angle Vale 1
Barossa United hosted Angle Vale on Sunday in what proved to be another tough match for the women, made even more challenging by
the pouring rain and difficult conditions.
It was the team’s third game in the space of just one week, following their catch-up match against Gawler Eagles on Friday. With tired
legs after such a busy week, the women still produced another really strong performance.
Barossa handled the wet conditions extremely well and put together some great passages of play despite the rain. Linn Eriksson was
dominant in front of goal once again, scoring four of Barossa’s five goals, while Shyanne Giammona added another to complete the
scoring.
The 5–1 victory capped off a demanding but successful week for the team, with the players continuing to perform despite the quick
turnaround between matches.
Barossa now turns its attention to another big game next week, travelling away to face Tea Tree Gully.
