Barossa Under 8s Shine Against Strong Angle Vale Side
The Barossa Under 8s put on a spectacular display of teamwork and determination this weekend in their away game against a high-
quality Angle Vale side.
Grayson Honner wore the goalkeeper jersey for the first half. He stood tall under pressure.
Jackson Zanlorenzi showcased his incredible work rate by launching a hard-running play to score a brilliant goal.
When Grayson Honner transitioned into the outfield, he found the back of the net with a great shot straight from a corner kick. The goal
was perfectly sealed thanks to some high-IQ awareness from Hunter Thomas, who worked smartly to ensure the ball crossed the line.
Defensively, Barossa was anchored by Tom Walsh and Sully King, who both put in outstanding performances, earning the Team Values
Awards. Their relentless tackling and positioning frustrated the opposition’s attackers all day.
In the second half, Ashton Galaboff took over goalkeeper duties between the posts. He proved to be a wall in goal, stopping nearly
everything that came his way while constantly thinking outside the box to clear the ball and restart the attack.
It was a fantastic team effort from every single Barossa player against a very tough opponent, reflected in a fiercely contested second
half where the scores were kept even.
