U11 Girls Serve Up a World Cup-Worthy Contest
Hands up if you’ve been watching the World Cup? The Barossa Under 11 Girls certainly looked inspired, putting on a fantastic display in
a thrilling battle with the Cobras.
It was an end-to-end contest from the opening whistle, with both teams creating chances and playing positive attacking soccer. The
girls showed great determination, teamwork, and resilience throughout, never giving up and continuing to push forward.
Maddison Coomber lit up the game with a stunning strike into the top corner that would have been at home on the World Cup stage.
Olivia Adams celebrated a well-deserved goal after working tirelessly all game, while Chilyssia Merkx and Lily Elix also found the back
of the net to round out an impressive attacking performance.
It was a fantastic game to watch and another great step forward for a team that continues to improve every week.
